Last night was fun but I’m paying for it with a bit of a hangover and the scale was not my friend. I’m not too sure why I stepped on it because I knew it wasn’t going to be pretty (wow, who knew that beer, wine, pizza, brownies and mayonnaise-coated crab cakes aren’t good for you… shocker). I was all set not to step on the scale and then, when I had a shower, there it was, calling me… the siren song of the scale.
“Step on me, Leya. You know you want to. C’mon, I’ll be nice. I bet you’ve even lost weight. Yeah, all that dancing and you’re dehydrated, it won’t be bad at all. As a matter of fact, I think you look great – skinny even. Just one more step… SUCKER!!!! PIZZA AND BEER WILL MAKE YOU FAT!!!! HA HA HA!!!!”
Oh well, I guess it helps to keep me accountable when I throw calorie counting out the window.
As a bit of an update to the last post, yesterday I was down to 181 with a total loss this week of about 1 pound. I’ve really slowed down but, aside from today, I’ve been feeling really good with lots of energy so I must be doing okay.
Today is going to be a lazy day spent on the couch with a trashy novel and plenty of water. I will also be a good kid and count my calories and go back to healthy eating.
